Tyrone Howard RAPSA is excited to announce that Dr. Tyrone Howard, Ph.D. will speak at the 2020 RAPSA Forum on Thursday, November 19. Dr. Howard is a professor at the Graduate School of Education of UCLA where he founded the Black Male Institute and serves as Associate Dean for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Many of you return year after year because of the targeted content and collaboration among colleagues and old friends. Accepting proposals through August 28th for November 16-18 The Reaching At-Promise Students Association Forum has become the seminal event for education, labor and community leaders serving trauma impacted reengaged students and out of school youth. Those of us serving at promise students, particularly African-American and Latino students, continue to fight inequities in education and career preparation. The disproportionate See The Story
The RAPSA Board of Directors is excited to announce that the November 2020 RAPSA Forum will go on as scheduled as a virtual conference. Each November, RAPSA brings together education and other community leaders who serve at-promise students. This year, in the midst of the uncertainty and challenges of the Corona Virus, our need to See The Story
As is the case with all of our school-based colleagues, we are closely monitoring federal, state and local guidance on large group meetings. At this time, many events that are scheduled for Spring have been cancelled or postponed indefinitely. The outlook for Fall, however, is unclear. As such, we are not yet making any final See The Story
