REACHING AT-PROMISE STUDENT AWARDS
Courage Award

The RAPSA Courage Award for a student who demonstrates courage in overcoming obstacles and pursuing academic excellence and dreams. This year, five scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded.

Vision Award

The RAPSA Vision Award is presented to a legislator or policy maker who demonstrates vision in pursuing creative policies to attract and retain students who would otherwise be left out by traditional school programs.

Heart Award

The RAPSA heart award is awarded to a staff member from a school or organization selected for their heart for serving at promise students and the challenges that students face in overcoming them.

RAPSA gives out awards based on public nominations that can be submitted by teachers, administrators and policy makers.

The awards will be conferred at the RAPSA Forum. These awards are intended to recognize the extraordinary promise of our students and the amazing work being done to support them across the country. The award ceremony is a celebration, not a competition.

We will be accepting nominations for awards that focus on the courage, vision and heart of reengaged students and the adults who serve them.  We are encouraging nominations of at promise students and committed educators, policy makers and other program administrators who are making a difference across the country. There will be five Courage Awards conferred with a $1,000 scholarship for each of the five students!  Recognizing that at-promise students often need support in the transition from high school to college and career training, this year's awards will come not just with a check, but with a commitment.  RAPSA commits to work with each Courage Award Recipient to address post-secondary institution obstacles as students move into the next phase of their lives.
