Courage Awards
RAPSA proudly recognizes the accomplishments students have made throughout their high school journey. Earning a diploma while rewarding can also be extremely challenging; this can be especially true for our At-Promise students. That is why each year a select number of hardworking students are presented with the RAPSA Courage Award. Students are nominated by teachers, administrators or policy makers for their perseverance and success in receiving a high school diploma even though it appeared as if all odds were against them.
The foundation acknowledges students hardships and awards those who have overcome extreme and unforeseen difficulties. Despite the circumstances these students work diligently to graduate highschool because they recognize the value of an education and understand the opportunities that come with it. These students are determined to better their future and pursue their passions further. Recipients are selected for their great courage and willingness to surpass the difficult situations they’ve encountered and pursue academic excellence. Each student is granted a $1,000 scholarship to utilize in their post-secondary education.
Each year RAPSA looks forward to hearing the inspirational journeys these students have had and all of the accomplishments they have achieved in spite of them. These young individuals are truly remarkable and have the potential to achieve anything they set their minds to. It is with great pleasure that RAPSA is able to contribute to their future endeavors.
If you know a remarkable student that has persevered and you would like to nominate them you can do so by clicking here. Nominees for the RAPSA Courage Award shall be reengaged students that have graduated within the 2023-24 school year.
Heart Award
Our At-Promise students are an incredible group of individuals that have made the commitment to continue their education in spite of hardships they have faced. They choose to persevere and work diligently to receive their high school diploma. However, none of this would be possible if it were not for the admirable staff members that serve our students. The dedicated staff that represent our schools provide guidance and encouragement to our students and create an environment that sets them up for success. RAPSA recognizes these great efforts made by these selfless individuals and is pleased to announce that nominations for the Heart Award are now open. Recipients are nominated for their heart for serving this community of students and understanding of the trials they have faced. These individuals see past the difficulties and toward the incredible potential each student has. They have the ability to re-engage the student in learning and support them throughout their entire journey. Their work truly makes a difference in the lives of these students.
